Fusion Spicy Chicken Curry


Sri Lankan Fusion Spicy Chicken Curry

Ingredients
3 tablespoons oil
6 cardamom pods bruised
1 cm piece cinnamon stick
2 tablespoons chopped garlic
2 tablespoons chopped fresh ginger
3 teaspoons chilli powder
2 teaspoons curry powder
2 kg chicken (thighs and drumsticks)
2 ½ teaspoons salt
2 onions sliced fine
2 cm piece lemon grass (optional)
1 cm piece Pandan leaf (optional)
1 sprig curry leaves
2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
1/4 cup coconut milk

Murungaikkai Sambhar


I am happy to note that many of the bloggers vote for the homemade powders than the store bought ones.To prepare them at home is ofcourse an extra task for most of you but definitely hygienic,more aromatic,un adulterated and has a longer shelf life. Did anyone say,"oof not that recipe again..that's something we whip up quite often..naah!."
